about

A dialogue between two friends about finally finding love then losing it again just as quickly as you found it. Resulting in looking to friends for advice on how to pick yourself back up when you're feeling down about it.

lyrics

I spent the morning staring at my phone, waiting for a call from you
I was already in a real bad mood, cause my alarm woke me up out the blue
And the Coffee in my cup had gone, I tried to catch my breath outside
And as I lit up my cigarette, the phone rang, but it wasn't you

I said "Oh Why? It seems the same thing happens every time
"I get my hopes up again then I let them fly"

And I was drinking in a bar with my friends, a little lonely again
With my glass in one hand and the other round Ben, he said, "Listen up my friend"
"In order to let them go you've got to show that you're okay without them"
And I said "I can't do that when there's a black cat around every other bend"

He said "Oh Why? Do you get like this every time, That you fall in love and it doesn't turn out quite right"
I said "But this time Ben it felt so very right"
He said "But true love my friend will find you when the timing is right"

Why? It seems the same thing happens every time
I get my hopes up again then I let them fly
